We spend most of our lives indoors, and yet the air we breathe is usually an afterthought. Poor indoor air quality (IAQ) can be caused by viruses, mould, dust or chemicals and is known to impact how people feel, function and stay well. Some of us are more affected than others – especially people with chronic health conditions or disabilities.
That’s why GO AQS has joined Making the invisible visible, a global visibility campaign coordinated by the Safer Air Project, an Australian-based health promotion charity. The campaign encourages organizations to monitor indoor air quality in real time and display that data so it’s clear, visible and accessible.
At GO AQS, we believe in measuring real-time IAQ data and publishing the dashboard openly. Our aim is to be open and transparent about the air in our spaces, and we’re encouraging other organizations in the community to join us. We’ll also be lighting up our office window in blue. It’s a small act to start a bigger conversation.
“At GO AQS, we believe that if you can’t measure it and see it, you can’t improve it. We light blue to illuminate the data, demonstrating our commitment to being open and transparent about the air in our spaces, so that air quality is never again an afterthought.” – Sotirios Papathanasiou, Founder, GO AQS
Participation in the campaign is free and open to any organization – large or small – that wants to make a difference. To get involved, just register with The Safer Air Project and you’ll receive a digital toolkit to help raise awareness
We’re proud to be part of a growing movement that’s pushing for healthier indoor spaces, and we’d love to see more local organizations get involved.
