GO AQS is proud to announce a new collaboration with Clean Indoor Air Toronto (CIATO), a leading advocacy group dedicated to improving air quality standards across Ontario. This partnership marks a significant step forward in the shared mission to ensure that the air we breathe indoors is as safe and clean as possible.
As a demonstration of this commitment, GO AQS has officially signed the CIATO petition addressed to the Toronto Board of Health. The petition calls for a direct mandate for Toronto Public Health to adopt Health Canada’s latest Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Guidance. By aligning local health policy with federal scientific recommendations, the initiative seeks to protect citizens from airborne pathogens, pollutants, and long-term health risks associated with poor ventilation.
Central to this collaboration is a shared technical benchmark for indoor safety. GO AQS has established a strict CO2 limit of 800 ppm as a primary indicator of adequate ventilation. This 800 ppm threshold is the exact standard Clean Indoor Air Toronto is fighting to make a reality across Canada. Maintaining CO2 levels at or below this limit is essential for reducing the risk of respiratory illness transmission and ensuring optimal cognitive function and well-being.
