We are pleased to announce an update to our indoor air quality standards. This revision ensures our benchmarks remain scientifically rigorous while acknowledging the changing environmental realities of 2026.
Changelog:
- Integration of Particulate Matter Working Group recommendations for the Submicron and Ultrafine particles under the Good Practices.
- Adjusting the GO IAQS Score CO2 lower limit from 400 ppm to 450 ppm. This was a deliberate, data-driven decision. As global ambient CO2 levels continue to rise, maintaining a 400 ppm floor began to unfairly penalize users beyond their control.
- Scope of Measurement for the GO IAQS Limits.
- Update of the organization structure and member list.
- Minor text updates have been applied throughout the standard to improve clarity and remove ambiguity.
- Changelog within the document.
You will find the latest version of the white paper on the home page at www.goaqs.org.
