Rather than relying on proactive real-time tools like the GO IAQS Score, these reports leverage scientifically backed protective thresholds, specifically our rigorous GO IAQS Ultimate Limits, to calculate the exact duration of time occupants are exposed to pollutant levels that impact human health.

Putting Occupant Safety First: A Transparent, Binary View

To maintain absolute clarity regarding occupant safety, the reports ditch, intermediate “moderate” tiers (like orange). Instead, they simplify indoor air quality into a strict, two-color visual hierarchy focused entirely on time-based exposure:

• Healthy Exposure (Blue): The precise percentage of occupied hours spent safely below the protective health thresholds/limits.
• Unhealthy Exposure (Red): The precise percentage of occupied hours where occupants were exposed to levels above the thresholds/limits.

Whether tracking time-average pollutants (PM2.5, NO2, O3, and CO) or threshold pollutants (like CO2, CH2O, and Radon), this percentage-of-time approach makes occupant risk immediately visible. Building managers can now effortlessly benchmark performance over custom periods or directly compare different facilities to see where occupants are safest.
